   ocr: NULL - Does nothing, and does it aggressively. NULL simplyabsorbs any otherwise-U unused CPUcycles. Ito does not "steal cycles" from applications that are using them. Why run NULL? Because running NULL makes other CPU- monitoring prugrais (like Peek-a-Boo and others) give more realistic information. Except -I for helping to protile CPU usage, there probably1s - no reason to run NULL. NULL is named NULLin fond memory - of the NULL process found iny VAX/YMS, which pertorms a similar runction.
